"This is about personal success, and has my

highest recom-mendation!"

How do you spell SUCCESS? Mr. Jim offers two programs for outlining and achieving success in relationships, school, and life.

P.R.I.D.E.: This presentation is built on the word PRIDE, an acronym that is used by many middle/high schools--Professionalism, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination and Empathy. Using a mix of multi-media and magic to introduce the five key elements of success, the program begins with an all-student assembly. Individual grade presentations follow, which instill a deeper understanding of what constitutes a “professional,” the value of individual goals, the necessity of solitude in our lives, the strengthening of personal creativity, and developing a winning attitude, turning defeat into victory.

THE 7 HABITS: This program is based on the 7 HABITS outlined in the work of Sean Covey ("The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens," "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids"). With a combination of multi-media and magic, Mr. Jim connects 7 timeless habits that are at the foundation of his success as a school presenter, prestidigitator and author. The 7 habits include: 1) Be proactive, 2) Begin with the end in mind, 3) Put first things first, 4) Think win-win, 5) Seek first to understand, then be understood, 6) synergize, and 7) Sharpen the saw. ELEMENTARY schools can utilize the presentation to discover the value of the 7 habits for the first time, or to support an existing "Leader In Me" program. The standard format for MIDDLE/HIGH school consist of an all-student assembly and multiple follow-up sessions.

"The seeds of success must be planted in order to bear fruit."

- Mr. Jim -

One way or another, we all respond.

We must choose the better way.

We must choose the desired end,

and then make the necessary choices.

Mr. Jim's success as a

presenter, prestidigator and author, can be attributed to the 7 Habits.

Habit 1: Be proactive.

You're in charge of you,

so take responsibility!

TESTIMONIALS

Amie McCaw, Principal - Schoolcraft Elementary School

"I am happy to recommend this assembly, especially for any 'Leader in Me' school. The students were engaged and fascinated. I was impressed with the connections that Mr. Jim was able to make with being a magician and practicing the 7 Habits in his daily life. I believe his message helped students connect the 7 Habits with the outside world."

Tammy Spangler-Timm, Principal - Livonia Elementary School

"The show was well done! You did a nice job of infusing the 7 Habits with your special brand of magic. Thank you again!

Tim Cervin, Principal - Lawton Middle School

"The information was very good and valuable (Mr. Jim's information always is)...he did a terrifice job of connecting PRIDE to our middle school guiding principles (ROAR)."

Ray Bohm, Principal - Constantine Middle School
"Mr. Jim put on three wonderful presentations for our Middle School. The students were excited about PRIDE and the message of success. He held the students’ attention for the entire forty-five minutes with a message that took our character education program and related it to his PRIDE message. It was a great assembly!”

David Eichberg, Principal - Berrien Springs High School

"You effectively communicated the individual value and importance of our PRIDE guidelines for success…I would highly recommend this presentation to any secondary principal seeking to deliver an effective message about the relationship between expected student behaviors and characteristics for individual success in life.”

Don Price, Principal, Cass Caounty Alternative HS

Western Michigan University's "First Year Experience" Course

Incoming freshman wrote:
*“I began applying the steps, and I’ve seen a change in the way other students act toward me. They are friendlier and open to conversation. I’m making more friends in the process.”
*“Throughout this past week I have frequently looked back at the notes he gave us, to make sure I stay on the right track to become the most successful person I can be.”
*“Another part of the presentation that I am now applying to my life is “Just do it! Sometimes I avoid what I need to do, and this is a good way to deal with things.”
*“The most important thing I got out of the presentation was, if you feel like a winner, your actions will correspond and you will become successful.”

Lt. Col. David DePinho, Chaplain, USAF
